Privacy Policy

What stays on your device

Every tick bite you log — body location, photos, notes, geolocation, follow-up status, and any profiles you create for family members or pets — is stored locally in your browser or device's own storage (IndexedDB on the web app). None of it is transmitted to, or stored on, any STIKK server. We have no database of your bites because none exists.

What we collect

We run a self-hosted, cookie-free analytics tool (Umami) to understand which features are used, in the aggregate — for example, that a bite was logged or a follow-up reminder was completed. These events carry no names, no photos, no bite descriptions, no location data, and nothing that identifies you personally. We use this only to improve the app.

What we never do

• — We never sell, rent, or share your data with any third party.
• — We never run ad tracking or ad networks of any kind.
• — We never require an account, email address, or sign-up to use STIKK.
• — We never upload your photos, notes, or bite history anywhere.

Push notifications

If you opt in to follow-up reminders, your device's push notification token is stored server-side for the sole purpose of delivering that reminder to you. It isn't linked to your bite data and isn't used for anything else.

Your data, your control

You can export your full log at any time and store the file wherever you trust. Uninstalling the app or clearing your browser's site data removes your STIKK data permanently — we have no copy to restore it from.

Changes to this policy

If our data practices ever change, this page will be updated and the "last updated" date above will reflect it. The core promise won't: your bite data stays on your device.
